Week 15 and Final Recap

                                                      COMMISH NOTES:

Well it looks like THE Ohio State and THE Arizona State both laid an egg in their respective championship games and I'll just leave it at that - the pain is still too fresh.

So the pool is finally and mercifully over for the year and for the 104 of us who did not win a penny please take a moment and print out the gold star and wear it proudly because after all YOU TRIED !

WEEKLY WINNER:

In the final week of the pool the husband and wife team of Mr and Mrs Kevin Castro came out on top with 12 out of 14 wins. Kev hand over that $100 to Pattie ASAP before somebody gets hurt cause we all know you had NOTHING to do with the selections !

WEEKLY LOSER:

And in last place this week is the pool's eldest and most esteemed member Robert Kilian who managed just 3 correct guesses. Rob has been a tad distracted since Dewey lost to Truman and still can't get over the fact that they admitted Siam into the League of Nations !  Oh and he wants all those damn kids off his lawn too !!!!

FINAL PAYOUTS

Here's how the final money worked out for the pool this season. We had a grand total of 133 PAYING Poolsters this season (But for the 1st time ever in pool history we had one welsher - he's a fella who lives in Mexico and his name rhymes with Flan Balka - shame, I think 17 weeks is plenty of time to send in your measley $50 even if it is via a Mexican mule train !) Anyways I digress here we go 133 x $50 = $6650 in total pool money then you minus out the pool hosting fees of $412 and the weekly winners of $1500 which left us with a grand total of $4738 for the final pool pot which will be distributed thusly: 

We had a 2 way tie for first between Don Reisinger and Mark Murrietta, so they will split the 1st and 2nd place money and will each get $1421.20 - they plan to take their winnings and open a specialty shop in West Hollywood that sells nothing but fish net tank tops, size medium neon Dolphin shorts, and construction boots. Good luck boys ! 

The 3rd place money goes to Billy Schauerman who will pocket $947.60. Bill plans to take his money and build a tree fort with an elevator so his dog Houdie and him can in his words "just hang out and chillax without my Mom yelling at us"

In 4th place we had a tie between the 2 most disinterested pool members Dave Bowser and Billy Fulton - they each will get $284.28 - Fulton was the last entry in the pool this season and I believe Bowser used Autopick for about 11 straight weeks.

And in last place the recipient of sport's greatest and most coveted traveling trophy - The Pewter Jack Ass - is Clayton Oldham plus as a bonus and to re-enforce his stupidity he also gets the nifty sum of $379.04 - talk about being paid to be a dope !

COMMISH NOTES: First off let me just apologize for my negligence in not posting the weekly recap for the last couple weeks, with my extremely busy schedule of browsing internet porn and serious binge drinking, and not to mention my added responsibilities with my promotion down at Der Wienerschnitzel, I just didn't have the time to provide you with the intelligent insights and pictures of cross dressing fat guys you've come to expect from your Commish. That being said here's the latest load of crap called the weekly recap !

There's really nothing much to say about the Auburn Alabama game - except HOLY SHIT !

WEEKLY WINNERS:

Seeing we've missed a couple weeks I'm going to list the recent winners here because after all the last time any of these people were mentioned in print was when they got a participant ribbons at "Sharing is Special" day in elementary school.

Craig Edmonston was our week 12 winner and with his $100 weekly winnings maybe he can now afford to see his Duckies play in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl.

Week 13 saw the deeply satisfying 8 way tie for first place between Pat "I'm not Gayer Than" Morrissey, Barry "Gorilla Salad" Harcus, the Pride of Nogales Steve Chabre, Mark "Vanilla Lightening" Hodgson, Damon "Splatter Pants" Gehrke, Scott "Nipsey" Streitfeld; Todd "Thunder Chicken" Thrall, and Jack "the Mizzou Assassin" Chessnut. They each will receive $12.50 for their efforts which should make for a very merry Christmas seeing that's doubled the income for the year !

God knows how but "Tricky Dick" Kiburz won week 14. Once again the pool web site, interwebs,  and society as we know it must have broken down cause there is no way in hell that any ASU alum that has lived in the "city" of Tucson of his own free will for the last 10+ years would be smart enough to win any thing let alone a week in the pool !

WEEKLY LOSER:

The following shmucks were the stupidest people in the world over the last few weeks. Larry Pulaski not once but twice along with Bakersfield's version of Dumb & Dumber Craig and Bruce Edmonston. There is not a kind word I can say about any of them. Shame !

OVER ALL LEADER AND LUNKHEAD:

Mark Murrietta is still clinging to the over all lead with 161 big wins but we all know the pressure should be too much for Mark and he should panic and post 3 wins in week 15. Time will tell.

Clayton Oldham maintains his vice like grip on last place with a pathetic 122 wins a full 39 spots behind the leader. But there are a few other poolsters within stiking distance for the greatest trophy in all of sports the coveted and cherished Pewter Jack Ass Trophy. All Hail the Loser !!

Remember poolsters there is one final week in the pool and there will be Thursday and Friday games. Games and lines should be posted sometime on Monday.
